Daniel H. Koffman is an experienced business attorney who advises clients on corporate and real estate legal issues.
Throughout his career, Mr. Koffman has counseled a range of clients from global corporations to local startups. He has been the primary legal advisor for several local companies, counseling on issues such as entity formation, business sales, corporate transactions, licensing, employment law, and intellectual property. He also has extensive experience negotiating commercial leases, helping both landlords and tenants finalize terms for District of Columbia properties.
Having appeared for consecutive years on the Pro Bono Honor Roll of the D.C. Courts, Mr. Koffman gives back to his home city through his pro bono practice. He is a regular participant in the D.C. Bar’s Small Business Clinic, and has trained local attorneys on the basics of commercial leasing law to use for their pro bono clients. He has also previously lectured on corporate legal issues to local veterans interested in entrepreneurship as part of the Small Business Administration’s “Boots to Business” program.
Mr. Koffman received his J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, where he served as a Senior Editor of the Southern California Law Review. Prior to law school, he received a B.A. with honors from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Mr. Koffman is a member of the bars of the District of Columbia and Massachusetts. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
